Student Poster Prize at BANEA Conference 2020
We are pleased to announce a Student Poster Competition at the next British Association of Near Eastern Archaeology (BANEA) conference. The competition is in collaboration with our sister BIRI institutes – the British Institute for the Study of Iraq (BISI), the British Institute at Ankara (BIAA), the Council for British Research in the Levant – as well as the Egypt Exploration Society (EES) and Oxbow Books.
The Student Poster Competition is open to undergraduate and postgraduate students at UK universities engaged in the study of the lands and peoples of Iraq, the Levant, Turkey, Iran and the wider Middle East. Posters will be displayed at the upcoming BANEA Conference, offering students the opportunity to present and discuss the innovative and creative research that they are undertaking with both the academic community and the wider public and providing them with an opportunity to raise the profile of their research. We welcome applications on any topic in the archaeology of the Middle East and related themes in history, languages, and heritage.
